The Niger Delta Scholars Olympiad (NDSO) is a premier academic competition established to discover, nurture, and celebrate exceptional young minds across the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Organized by the Niger Delta Education Foundation (NDEF), the Olympiad serves as a platform where brilliance is recognized, excellence is rewarded, and the future leaders of the nation are inspired to reach their highest potential.

By bringing together students from primary and secondary schools across the nine Niger Delta states, the Olympiad fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Our Story
The Niger Delta has long been blessed with exceptionally talented young people whose academic potential often remains undiscovered due to limited opportunities and unequal access to educational resources. Recognizing this challenge, the Niger Delta Education Foundation envisioned an initiative that would inspire academic excellence while providing deserving students with opportunities to flourish regardless of their socioeconomic background.
Thus, the Niger Delta Scholars Olympiad (NDSO) was born.
What began as a vision to reward outstanding academic performance has evolved into one of the region’s most promising educational initiatives. NDSO was established to bridge educational gaps, inspire healthy competition among schools, identify exceptional talents, and create pathways for scholarships and educational advancement.
