The Niger Delta Scholars Olympiad (“NDSO”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an educational competition and academic development initiative organised by the Niger Delta Learning and Development Foundation (“NDLDF”).
We are committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, safety and personal information of students, parents, guardians, teachers, participating schools, sponsors, partners, volunteers, staff, website visitors and other individuals who interact with our programmes and services.

Where teacher ambassadors or referral programmes are operated, we may also process information needed to manage accounts, referrals, registrations, commissions and related administrative activities.

Where a registration fee or other authorised payment is required, we may receive or retain:

We do not intentionally collect or store complete payment-card details, card PINs, CVVs or online banking passwords through our ordinary registration records. 8.1 Our commitment

8.4 Publicity is separate from registration
Registration for an examination does not automatically grant unrestricted permission to use a child’s photograph, video, interview or personal information for promotional purposes.
Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate parental, guardian or other legally valid authorisation before using a child’s information for publicity.
Where publicity consent is optional, refusal should not ordinarily affect participation in the competition, unless recording is reasonably necessary for a particular activity and this has been appropriately explained.
8.5 Child-directed content and advertising
Our educational programmes may serve different age groups. We will take the nature and intended audience of relevant website pages into account when implementing applicable advertising and privacy safeguards.
We will not knowingly use personalised advertising based on activity by children where prohibited by applicable law or the relevant advertising provider’s policies.
